℃ - Five Horizontal Lines

All the works made so far are exhibited either indoor or outdoor. They are coordinated always with the temperature adjusted by air conditioner when they are inside the space. While it is outside, the environment’s temperature affects the work.  This exhibition is in the shop windows, which is a new situation for the work. So, in this enclosed space, it seems a good idea to bring about five horizontal temperature lines of red, yellow, green, black and mercury thermometers. 

I choose the thermometers which can scale up to 100℃, because the sunlight comes in. They are set to make horizontal lines at a certain temperature like green at 25℃, red at 30℃, yellow at 35℃, mercury at 40℃ and black at 45℃. This time, a temperature recorder (-20℃ to 50℃) is set together, which is a drawing of temperature I call, and it hit the extreme end of the recorder for several days. If only the thermometers scalable up to 50℃ were used, the works would have been exploded.                         Translation Ayumi Kudo
